나날이 세련되어가던 1980년대 글램/헤비 메탈의 종결자로

혜성같이 나타난 밴드가 바로 윙어다.

 

첫 앨범 [Winger] (1988)는 63주간 빌보드 앨범 차트에 머물며

전세계적으로 200만장 이상의 판매고를 올렸다.

 

‘Miles Away’는 오랜 세션 활동으로 잔뼈가 굵은 멤버들이 뭉친

이 밴드의 모든 것을 함축해서 보여주는 곡으로

두 번째 앨범 [In The Heart Of The Young] 에 수록되어 있다.

 

환상적인 분위기를 자아내는 신디사이저와 시원시원한 보컬,

곳곳에 화려한 솔로를 수놓는 기타,

폭발과 절제를 겸비한 드럼까지,

완성도에 있어서 타의 추종을 불허하는
